COLORADO FUTURETEK | WHO WE ARE
Colorado FutureTEK is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that provides enrichment training and resources to help African American and other underrepresented minority high school students obtain marketable skills and internships in the IT and Computer industries. We have established a set of successful, ongoing programs that are practical and positive ways to help these students become productive citizens who will help fill the widely recognized need for technically trained professionals over the next decade. We also provide basic computer training for senior citizens.

Sign-up Now for STEAM! F.U.T.U.R.E. 2024, Our Financial Literacy Course for Grades 6-12
STEAM! F.U.T.U.R.E. is an interactive, online program via Zoom for middle & high school students. The classes will be conducted online using Zoom, so students must have access to a laptop or desktop computer with a camera and internet access to participate. The program is offered tuition-free.

SUMMERTEK
SummerTEK is a fun and challenging 6-week Computer Networking training program. Students learn problem-solving and communication skills, attend exciting field trips, and prepare themselves for future internships. More »
STUDENT INTERNSHIPS
Our Student Internship Program facilitates paid summer employment at local businesses for students who excel in our training programs. Interns gain valuable experience that can open doors to future career opportunities. More »
STEAM!
Our STEAM! program for middle school students grades 5 – 8 includes an introduction to Paint 3D, Minecraft programming, and financial literacy. Early college & career planning is included for 7th & 8th grade students. More »
SILVER SATURDAYS
Silver Saturdays is a monthly, project-based class that helps senior citizens improve their computer skills. They work on MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint projects, with assistance from an adult instructor & high school student tutors.
SUMMER SILVERTEKS
Summer SilverTeks is designed for senior citizens who want to learn computer basics, or improve their computer skills. They also can learn smartphone basics. Our adult instructor is assisted by our teen student tutors. More »
FINANCIAL WORKSHOPS
We facilitate “Banking on our Future” workshops for 8th grade through high school students, presented by Operation Hope. This program equips young people with financial knowledge & tools to secure a better future.
CAREER EXPLORATION
Our high school students make field trips to the Microsoft Technology Center or participate online for Career Xplore Day events. They learn about some of the newest technology and careers at Microsoft.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Colorado Futuretek has partnered with other organizations, such as with the Office of Economic Development Youth Services, to give high school students a four-week course on Information and Communications Technology. More »
